On newer versions of the mount there are tabs meant just for this purpose. Run some zip ties any it will reduce all wiggle. See photo below.
Questions..
Do I need DJI’s $80.00 dollar CrystalSky Mount in order to use this mount?
No, you do not, our mount system does not require that part to function. You will however need a suitable USB Cable. See below for a recommendation.
How long of a USB cord and what type is recommended for this setup?
I like using a 12 inch cord. It’s perfect. The “SCHITEC 1ft USB C to USB A Nylon Braided Micro USB 2.0 Type C Cable ” off of Amazon is a great cord to consider.
If I buy the Mavic Mount System can I also mount my CrystalSky monitor on the other Evolution3D mounts that I already own?
Yes, if if you own any of our other deluxe monitor mounts you can mount your CrystalSky on them using the same adapter that comes with the Mavic System on this page. All of our thumbscrew joints are compatible with each other.. so for example you could use your CrystalSKy on your Mavic then move it easily to your Phantom 3/4/Inspire radio setup. You just need one of our mounts to do so of course. You could even use your CrystalSky on your Taranis or Futaba radio provided you have one of our deluxe mounts for it. A scenario like that will eventually be useful when DJI releases the Video-IN dongle for the CrystalSky which they have announced.
Will this adapter fit on a DJI Spark Radio?
Yes, DJI Spark fitment was confirmed on 7-17-2017 by one of our users. Fits perfectly.
Do you sell an adapter to mount a CrystalSky Monitor on any standard 1/4-20 tripod setup?
We sure do, it’s not on the site yet but it is available. Contact us if interested.
But I would rather have a mount made all of metal?
Hey, that’s your call, but if there is one thing I have learned in my 4 years of designing and creating radio mounts for various RC Radios it is that you want to keep the metal parts to a minimum. The less metal parts around the RC Radio the better. Its much better to not create an RF issue than to deal with any problems it might cause.

After buying the Crystalsky 5.5 inch monitor I wanted a dedicated mounting system to hold it on my Spark controller. I done the usual reseach like ya do and watching the video’s on Youtube and Mad RC review of the bracket I thought sod it go for it! The Mavic remote hinged arms are OK at best, and could cause a monitor disaster at worst.
With the Evloution3D mount I have no concern of the monitor and remote separating, they are locked together.
Huge bonus is that it fits beautifully with the Atlas antenna systems that use the T-lock.
This mount may not win a beauty contest but the design and materials are first class.
I had a special request with my order and the service was outstanding.
This was an excellent purchase for me.

Hi Johnny, just a quick one to say I got the mount this morning, incredibly fast delivery. I am over the moon with the mount, it is everything I wanted and more, it’s great to have the two mounting positions for the monitor, I like them both, but I guess the lower one feels more balanced. I have a 3D printer so I know how long it takes to print these things and the amount of time it takes to dial them in, and boy you have these dead on, I also know how much effort goes in to getting designs just right, all the trial and error and time involved, again I doubt you could improve on this design, it’s pretty much perfect. So thanks very much Johnny, I would highly recommend your mounts to anyone.

Gestern habe ich den Halter bekommen. Sehr schnelle Lieferung.
Die Einzelteile sind gut verarbeitet und der Halter passt perfekt an die Mavic Fernbedienung. Welche der beiden Positionen des Monitors ich letztendlich nutzen werde wird sich im Praxistest zeigen.
Kann Evolution3D nur weiterempfehlen.

Yesterday I got the crystalsky mount. Very fast delivery.
The parts are well processed and the crystalsky mount fits perfectly to the Mavic remote control. Which of the two positions of the monitor I will ultimately use will show in the practice test.
Can only recommend Evolution3D.

Got the evolution 3D Crystalsky mount in for the mavic. Nice job for a 3D printed part, most importantly it works perfect. You can mount the screen two different ways as shown in the pictures and it breaks down fast for storage in my Nanuk case.
I would recommend this to anyone with the Mavic and small Crystalsky.
